Financially contribute to my family
Take all my own pictures for my blog (see “To Learn” #1 and #2): I put this on my list because there was a scary rumor going around that even if you bought your stock photos that you could be sued for using them. This rumor has been dispelled and I am happily mostly using stock photos. I take some of my own (like for care packages 🙂
Get all of our pictures digitalized, organized, and stored (All the film pics we took before about 2004)Almost everything is digitalized now, but still need to organize and figure out storage. Sounds like a project for my empty nest.
Grow and harvest vegetables again! (Darn those rabbits who always discourage me.)Tried really hard on this one, but bugs ate my zucchinis!

See Journey in concert (Have the tickets. We have tried to see some of our favorite 80s singers/bands with little success so far. We made it tothe Eagles. Sold our Chicago tickets because our child was in a play that night. Did not get to see Fleetwood Mac because the band was sick and they cancelled the concert. Sold our Billy Joel Tickets because one kiddo was singing the National Anthem at one football game and another kiddo was cheering at a different football game. We will have to catch some of these folks on the casino or Branson circuit when we are old. Darn! Had to sell our Journey tickets because it was college orientation for our son!!!)
Actually escape an escape room. (We are 0 for 2. The first one we tried was the night of the Fleetwood Mac concert after it was cancelled. We were depressed and not on our game, I guess. No excuses for the 2nd one. We are just that lame.)
Visit a state I have not been to. Not sure when this will happen, but here are the possibilities: Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey (moved our son to New Jersey to attend Graduate School at NYU), North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
Go to a Drive-In Movie (Yep, never been to one.) FINALLY accomplished this one. It only took COVID to make it happen. I guess it always seemed much more attractive to go to the theater with the comfy seats and air conditioning. I still can't say I went to a MOVIE at the drive-in, but we went to the Blake Shelton concert at the Admiral Twin Drive-In in Tulsa. July 2020. You can see my picture at the drive-in on HERE on Instagram.

I am super excited and somewhat scared of my list. I am a truly non-adventurous person – notice no sky diving or cliff jumping. Leaving thehouse can bean adventure for me. The absolute most scary item is “financially contributing to my family.” I have not worked outside my home in 22 years. Yikes!! Pray for me! I would love to hear in the comment section below what is on your list of 50 Things to learn, accomplish, or experience By 50, or any of your “bucket list” items no matter your age.
